01/15/2025 – New Year Greetings and AFX

To all our fans, supporters, and patrons,

This is Andy from Dreams Circle. We want to first wish everyone a slightly belated Happy New Year!

As many of you have noticed, towards the end of last year, our schedule did not go according to plan. Between some unanticipated circumstances followed by the holidays, we had to delay both our product release as well as our survey originally slated for December. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused by this.

Introducing AFX

The good news is, things are getting back on track, and we want to kick off the new year with a new vision! Today we’d like to unveil Animations Fusion:

As its name suggest, Animations Fusion (abbreviated AFX) borrows and mixes elements from our Animations Collection/Select titles and EVFX titles. Most importantly, AFX offers something we know a lot of you have been asking for: the same VFX available in both effekseer AND spritesheet formats. In addition, these effects also come with complementary SFX and icon resources.

AFX will be available at two price-point tiers. The BASE tier will include spritesheets, SFX, icons, and a demo project for RPG Maker MV, while the FULL tier will include everything in the Base tier plus effekseer versions of the same animations and a demo project for RPG Maker MZ:

We’re hoping that this pricing plan makes it more convenient and economical for customers who are working with engines that don’t support Effekseer, or don’t have a need to render their own spritesheets at specifications different from what we offer.

What’s Next

Regarding the annual survey, we wanted to wait until AFX’s release so we could collect feedback. With AFX now shipped, we’re happy to announce that our annual survey will begin on February 1^st, 2025, and run for two weeks. As per what we did in 2023, we will offer a small gift for participants; and will review, summarize, and respond to the feedback we collect in March. We look forward to seeing everyone’s thoughts and ideas in two weeks!
